This temple is constructed around a Peepul tree as the idol of Goddess was dreamed to a devotee in the mid-night. After some time a beautiful park was also constructed here.
The temple of Lord Shiva and Parvati is situated on the bank of Yamuna River in the north, at Hamirpur district headquarter. This popular temple of Hamirpur District is said to have deep historical importance. Historically, this temple is supposed to be the heritage of Gupta period.
This temple was constructed by Parmeshweri Dayal Pukar, a devotee of Mehar Baba in 1964 at Hamirpur headquarter. The idol of Mehar Baba was placed in the temple on 18th November, 1970.
